Biography
As the Office of Accessible Education (OAE) Student Access Coordinator, Mace is responsible for onboarding new students registered with the OAE, she conducts student access meetings, and provides direct case management for students receiving services from the OAE.
Mace serves as a liaison to the UMass Global community through consultation with instructors to implement academic accommodations and engages in intentional collaboration with colleagues to help ensure that students have access to academic activities throughout their university experience.
Prior to joining UMass Global in August 2023, Mace graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) with a master’s degree in education and a political science degree from the University of California, Riverside (UCR). Over the past decade, Mace has gained diverse experience supporting students in higher education including in roles related to student conduct, project coordination for Pacific Islander youth and disability resources. Most recently, Mace served as a Counselor for the Office of Educational Opportunities Program at San Diego State University (SDSU). Mace’s area of interest includes traveling, trying new food, and making memories with her little family.
