If you registered online with University of Massachusetts Global, the system created and provided you with your username and password during the registration process. If you mailed or faxed in a registration form, you should have received an email from the UMass Global IT department containing your username and activation directions after the staff processed your registration.
Please visit www.umassglobal.edu/activate, click "Activate My Account (New Users Only)," and follow the step-by-step instructions to activate your account. Click "Resend my Account Information Letter" if you never received your UMass Global credentials. If you have continued difficulty activating or retrieving your username and password, please contact our office at K12Partners@umassglobal.edu.

An email notification will be sent when your grades are posted. Students may also check for grades through MyUMassGlobal using your UMass Global student username and password.

If you have completed a paper to be graded by UMass Global (for independent studies, learning circles and seminar practicums,) the turnaround time is approximately 4 weeks after coursework is received. If your grades are being given to us by your content provider, they will be posted within 5 days of UMass Global receiving them from your provider.

Please verify that all grades and credits are posted to your student record prior to ordering official transcripts.
- Using your University of Massachusetts Global student account, log in to MyUMassGlobal and click on the “Self-Service” icon in the Quick Links area in the upper right corner of the page.
- Log in to the secure site and click on the Student tab.
- To view your grades, click on Student Records, then View your Academic Transcript.
- Select “All Levels” and “University of Massachusetts Global Unofficial” and click submit.
- Verify that all grades and credit hours have been processed before ordering an official transcript.

You can receive a refund within 30 days of registration if you have not yet received a grade for your course.

It is the responsibility of the individual participant to verify with his/her district or state prior to enrollment whether UMass Global credit will be acceptable or not. State licensing departments vary regarding their criteria for credit acceptance, and some states may not accept credit from universities that are located outside the state.

Participants receive graduate-level professional development credit. These are professional development units that are typically not part of a degree program but instead are primarily used for professional advancement purposes such as salary increment steps and re-certification. However, this credit may be applied toward a degree program at the discretion of the accepting institution.

Each credit represents 15 hours of work.

The professional development credits that we offer are not part of any degree program at University of Massachusetts Global. However, decisions about transferring to another university are solely at the discretion of that university. Students are advised to seek approval of appropriate officials before enrolling in these courses, to satisfy any degree, state credential or local school district requirements.

One semester credit equals 1.5 quarter credits.

Students are not eligible to receive financial aid for professional development courses.

For most seminars, the final report is either due six months from the date of the seminar you attended, or from your date of registration. Please check your confirmation letter and/or registration information for your particular seminar's requirements.

Yes. For independent study courses, please discuss appropriate assignment modifications with your instructor. For practicum papers please explain your situation on the title page and write your paper as though you are planning to implement the activities/strategies in the future. Submit handouts, activity examples, grading rubrics etc. for each activity. Envision how your students might respond and how you would evaluate their learning experience. Comment on what your strengths and weaknesses would be in implementing these activities.
