Biography
Dr. Donna Wang joins UMass Global with over fifteen years of academic experience serving in various roles, such as Departmental Chair, BSW Program Director, and MSW Program Director. She has taught across the social work curriculum at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in various modalities. Dr. Wang has been a social worker for over twenty years, and has practice experience with the juvenile justice system, community mental health, aging and adult services, and as a psychotherapist. Dr. Wang’s current clinical interests include Internal Family Systems and mindfulness. She is also a prolific scholar with over 40 peer-reviewed articles focusing on a wide range of issues, such as professional use of self, social work education, gerontology, cultural competence, and mindfulness and reflexivity. Dr. Wang is committed to dismantling oppressive systems and empowering individuals, and has dedicated her career to promoting inclusivity.
